Personal Counseling
The South Plains College Counseling Center is your first step to getting the help you need. Students commonly need help adjusting to the demands of college life; the inevitable changes surrounding moving, beginning a new chapter of life, separating from friends or loved ones, and/or general stress and anxiety. Whatever the need, students can access help at the counseling centers at either the main campus in Levelland or the Reese Center.
Although we are not a long-term treatment facility we do have professionals on staff that can meet immediate needs or assist with a crisis. It is the scope of practice for the guidance and counseling center to deal with crisis and brief therapy situations. Anything requiring more intervention will be referred to trusted professionals in the community. Our professional counselors can help connect you to the resources you need whether it requires short or long-term therapy, medication or professional medical intervention.
