Dual Credit Registration Requirements

Students are encouraged to turn in all paperwork as soon as possible. To avoid complications, applications for fall semester should be turned in no later than August 1st and no later than December 1st for spring semester.

  • Complete an Online Application for Admission (apply.southplainscollege.edu)
    • When creating a new student application account, please DO NOT use a high school email address.
    • After creating an account, please start a "New Dual Credit Application".
    • Students will receive an acceptance email within two to three business days of submitting the dual credit application.
    • Please make sure to check SPAM/JUNK folder for acceptance email.
  • Meet with High School Counselor
Students wishing to participate should talk with their parent/guardian and high school counselor before enrolling in courses. The high school counselor can determine if the student is eligible and help the student develop a plan. Then, the counselor will submit an enrollment spreadsheet to notify SPC of the courses the student plans to enroll in for the semester.
  • If you're a homeschool student wishing to enroll in dual credit, please submit the enrollment approval form to dualcredit@southplainscollege.edu.

  • Submit Unofficial High School Transcript
A transcript is required when the student first applies.
    • Homeschool students must submit a notarized transcript.
    • An official final high school transcript with graduation date must be submitted upon graduation.
  • Submit Official College Transcript(s), if applicable.
    • Students who have taken college courses at another institution must submit official college transcripts prior to enrollment.
  • Proof of the Meningitis Vaccination
    • Only if taking a course at one of the SPC campuses.
    • Must have been received within the last five years.
  • Meet Testing Requirements
All Dual Credit students are not required to show college readiness in all three areas (reading, writing, and math), but only for the course(s) they wish to take. For example, students taking ENGL 1301 Composition I will only need to show college readiness in ELAR, since no math score is required for the class.
